Cultural route

Esporles: Camí des Correu, GR 221

From the entrance to Superna valley, a path runs along the hillside terraces of Ses Mosqueres and enters the wood. After Coll de sa Talaieta pass, where a crag known as Potada des Gegant (the Giant’s Footstep) can be seen, you reach a clearing called Era des Moro where bark from holm oaks was dried for the textile industry. Close to the path, there are buildings and other structures used by charcoal burners, lime makers and tree fellers. The path, which features a cobbled stretch of paving, crosses Coll des Pi pass to Font de la Vila spring and Banyalbufar.

El Cor de Jesús

From Cor de Jesús (a statue of Christ reached from Son Ferrà estate house), you can enjoy panoramic views of Esporles valley. If you continue on up, you reach Maristel·la hermitage (the old hermitage’s mountain refuge) and Fita del Ram peak (at an altitude of 833 metres).

The GR 221 dry stone route passes through the municipality of Sóller on stage 3. All the official information can be found at https://caminsdepedra.conselldemallorca.cat/-/variant-4-universitat-tram-esporles-establiments
